March 25, 2008 – Public Meeting
A public meeting, sponsored by the Iowa West Foundation, City of Council Bluffs and Iowa DOT, was held March 25, 2008, to present the proposed artwork being commissioned for the 24th Street Bridge. The artist, Albert Paley, gave a presentation on his proposed sculptures for the bridge as well as some of his other projects. The artwork proposed for the 24th Street Bridge includes four sculptures that will be placed on each of the bridge plaza areas. The sculptures are expected to be completed and installed in late 2010.
